Internet connection

  • What Happens if the Power or Internet Goes Down?
    Since the AgileIP system is hosted on our servers, should your power or internet go down your calls will automatically be forwarded to any desired alternative number, such as your mobile, or house phone. You will never be left without phone communication.

Phone features

  • Can I Keep my Phone Number?
    Yes. Your number can be ported over to our servers. This can usually be done within 10 business days. AgileIP will take care of all the steps in porting your phone number from your old carrier. All you have to do is supply us with A copy of your last bill with your current carrier Fill up and sign a permission form allowing AgileIP to transfer your number. All AgileIP packages come with one number port at no charge. Additional ported numbers are done at a cost of $30/port.

Phone Installation

  • Is installation included?
    Yes. If you are in the greater Montreal area and need assistance, a trained technician will physically come to your site, and get you up and running at no additional cost.
  • Can I Keep my old Phones?
    Yes, you can keep your old phones. If you have different VOIP phones than the models that AgileIP provides, we offer a configuration service.
  • Can I Keep my Phone Number?

  • How Long Does it Take for my AgileIP Account to be Activated?
    Your number and extensions will be activated immediately. AgileIP may deliver the phones directly to you depending on your location. If direct delivery is not possible, shipping time usually occurs within 5-7 business days.

Services

  • What if I Want to Cancel my Service with AgileIP?
    You can request to cancel your service with AgileIP at any time. If you are not under contract, there are no cancellation fees. Account balances must be paid in full prior to cancellation.

Transition

  • Is There any Other Equipment I Need for my AgileIP Phones to Work?
    All you need is a router (we recommend a QoS “Quality of Service” router for best voice performance), and a stable, high speed internet connection. If you have an internet connection in your office/home, odds are you already have this equipment. A QoS router analyzes and prioritizes the data traffic between your various devices. Certain applications, such as your VOIP phone system need to insure higher priority in order to certify the best call quality possible, while other applications like sendingan email, or downloading media can take a little bit longer, as the transmission is not taking place in real time. Using a QoS router will ensure that your phone system receives priority over noncrucial applications, giving you the best call quality possible.
  • What do I need to setup my AgileIP phones?
    All you need are phones that are programmed to work on the AgileIP system. The Agile system is plug and play, so once you have your phones, you simply plug them in and begin using them. If you order your phones from AgileIP, they will arrive programmed and ready to plug in. If you have your own phones, AgileIP will either guide you through the programming, or do it for you on site.
  • What Happens While I am Waiting for my Number to Port to AgileIP? Will my Phone System be Affected?
    Your phone system will remain exactly the same, and the transition from your old carrier to AgileIP will be seamless, with no interruptions in service.
